About the Law Offices of David Grossack
Attorney David Grossack
David Grossack grew up in Hull, Massachusetts and
attended high school at Thayer Academy in Braintree.
He studied economics at Brandeis University and
received a Bachelor's of Science in Management from
Babson College in 1976 and his Juris Doctorate from
New England School of Law in 1981. That same year he
was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. He is also
admitted to the United States District Court, the
First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States
Supreme Court.
David Grossack has extensive experience in
complex business litigation, securities law,
franchise litigation, commercial collections and
probate disputes, among other areas of law.
His background includes significant litigation and
transactional experience in the field of securities
law. Mr. Grossack has litigated securities matters
both in Federal and State courts, as well as before
arbitration panels of the American Arbitration
Association and National Association of Securities
Dealers.
He has represented issuers, promoters and a stock
transfer agent under investigation by the Securities
and Exchange Commission, and has advised emerging
companies on reverse shell mergers, exempt
transactions and international private placements.
Mr. Grossack has also assisted companies in
compliance with SEC reporting requirements. He has
also extensively litigated issues in the areas of
franchise law, including enforcement actions by the
Federal Trade Commission and cases involving
allegations of director liability. He has also
represented both franchisors and franchisees in
contractual disputes.
Mr. Grossack's practice also includes business to
business collection cases for companies throughout
the United States. His office aggressively pursues
claims for manufacturers, service companies,
wholesalers and a variety of other companies. He has
also enjoyed favorable results in will and trust
contests in the probate court, both defending and
challenging wills. He has also succeeded in
obtaining funds for beneficiaries of a trust who
were being denied funds from a hostile trustee.
Mr. Grossack's far reaching experience has also
extended into the areas of constitutional law and
civil rights. In 1999 he received a Lawyer of the
Year award from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for
challenging the lack of equal protection and due
process in Family Court matters. He has also
obtained settlements for clients in false arrest
cases and in First Amendment claims. For example, in
one case a client was assaulted while carrying a
protest sign. In another case, the client's protest
signs were destroyed by police. In both cases
Attorney Grossack recovered a settlement for the
client. Mr. Grossack resides in Hull, Massachusetts.
The office handles cases in the areas of
constitutional rights, domestic relations, business
to business litigation and collections, landlord
tenant matters, contract litigation, personal injury
and probate and trust contests. The office is also
one of the very few in the country which openly
offers coaching services to unrepresented litigants
(pro-se parties). Attorney Grossack is the author of
two training manuals on the topic.
The office has a new real estate department
headed by Attorney Andrew Greenberg, who also
assists in civil litigation in the District,
Superior and Probate and Family Courts.
Finally, the office has established a financial
consulting service for emerging small businesses,
